If the pain in unbearable, they might talk you through some relaxation processes, or administer a painkiller. If the injury is very bad, then you might be treated on the field for a long time, and then taken to hospital immediately.

Once you know what the injury is and you know how it is going to be treated, you should follow all the instructions that the doctor gives you. If they say you are not to put weight on it, then you don't put weight on it.


If they say that you are under strict instructions to rest completely, then you are going to have to find someone to weight on you hand and food.
